Creating Multicultural Learning Communities Summer Institute, 4-day Institute on Multicultural Education at FDU in partnership with American Conference on Diversity. July 2008, July 2010 and June 2012

This intensive 4-day program provides educators and administrators the knowledge and skill to create equitable environments in school and work towards the elimination of all forms of discrimination

This institute addresses the many dimensions of diversity in a three-tiered approach (theory, application, and experience) that helps participants actually develop initiatives and strategies they can use to build cohesive and inclusive communities. While providing a theoretical background and forums for discussion, the Institute goes a step further to empower participants with the tools they need to become change agents within their school communities, no matter what role they serve.
